We are excited to announce that our abstract (to present the Recollection Project) has been included in the Research Networking Day of the CTM Festival in Berlin in January. This year’s theme is transformation. Perfect!!
We are so pleased to announce that we’ve been invited to share the Recollection Project (and the 1st platforms– the oral history and the map) at this years’ Festival Internacional De Cine Con Medios Alternativos (FICMA) in Mexico City in December. The fest will be online this year.
Hassan and Jennida will be presenting the Richmond Recollection Project during the VCU Pitch Competition on Wednesday, October 28th from 6-7:30 p.m.

Our music video with Quilla Sagittarius (showing on Friday in the Meow Mix: Short Music Videos on Friday 1/17/20 at 6pm!) as well as our short The Fawn (Screening on Sunday in the I’m Not Kidding: Comedy Shorts-Sunday, 1/19/20 – 5:00pm!)
#4 is Quilla’s big year
In May and June, Greensboro-based performer Anna Luisa Daigneault, better known as Quilla, released new singles with accompanying music videos. “Boom Ba Da” debuted from Skateland’s rink on UNC-TV on May 2. Later on June 14, “Saggitarius” dropped with video collaboration from Hassan Pitts and Jennida Chase, two UNCG Media Studies professors, along with their third-year students. Her Spotify stream hit 3.1 million listeners in 2019.
