The Entangled Circle Project

The Entangled Circle project is a multinational, transdisciplinary initiative that centers on digitizing cultural heritage sites, 3D scanning them using LiDAR and photogrammetry, the primary regions of focus including the US, South Korea, and Turkey. The regions are selected because of existing relationships that project histories that the collaborators bring. Each region holds diverse histories, distinct cultural roots, and legends to tell.

During the summer of 2026, participating Sanarchy members attended, presented, and exhibited the prototype work and research for the Entangled Circle Project in the 2026 New Media Conference at CICA Museum in South Korea.

About Sanarchy!

Sanarchy is a multinational, digital community of like-minded artist-educators building a system of support, resources, and opportunities for artist-practitioners and scholars working in the arts and education. Operating cooperatively, Sanarchy seeks to generate and foster tomorrows’ art through community as a creative force. The name Sanarchy is built from the Quenya word sanar meaning mind, thinker, reflector. It is also a play on the Turkish word sanat (meaning art), synergy, and anarchy. The collective developed in 2020 and includes a range of schools, fields of studies, and levels of instruction. In 2026 Sanarchy began the Entangled Circle Initiative, focusing on transdisciplinary projects connecting architecture to the arts and immersive production with cultural heritage, coalescing around conservation, digitization, and reconfiguration, and reimagination. https://sanarchy.art/
